logs around the yard

Filled a bin with green waste yesterday, but the back yard still looks lovely and green. Unfortunately most of the green is still weeds.

These blocks would be a bit more fiddly to make than the usual Log Cabin blocks, but the fabrics could be cut into strips and joined together and then cut into narrow strips to fir the blocks.

I think I should add more colours to the designs … one day when I have nothing to do and expect no interruptions! It probably wouldn’t work as when I don’t expect interruptions I get lots.

In a couple of the gardens I have had there were a few logs laying around marking borders of the flower beds, so I thought i should try some virtual fabric logs amongst my Log Cabin quilt designs.

Perhaps this is the layout for a garden which goes all around the house.

Plying with shades of green, and the dark is a shady part, the light the lawn in the sun, and the rest is flower beds. Needs more colour perhaps, but it is a plan.

Now there are some shady parts all around the house.
